Alex Adams is a Deputy District Attorney with the Santa Clara County D.A.’s Office. Alex is a graduate of UCLA Law School, and he started working with Santa Clara County as a law-clerk after taking the bar exam in 2013. Now in his fifth year, he is currently assigned to the Major Narcotics Vendor Prosecution team, which investigates and prosecutes large-scale narcotics trafficking cases. While not at work, Alex coaches high-school mock trial and volunteers at an education-related non-profit.

Nicholas Honda is a Deputy District Attorney for the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. He earned a degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego and a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, Nick was an intern with the San Diego County DA’s Office, California Attorney General’s Office, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of CA. After serving as a Deputy DA in Butte and San Diego Counties, Nick returned to his hometown of Sacramento.

Genevieve Galman is a Deputy District Attorney at the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. Genevieve earned a B.A. in Political Science and in Sociology from UC Irvine and a J.D. from USF School of Law. During law school, Genevieve volunteered as a Law Clerk at the Contra Costa County, San Mateo County and San Francisco District Attorney Offices. Genevieve was a NAPIPA Scholarship Award Recipient in 2017.

Thienvu Ho is an Assistant Chief Deputy D.A. for Sacramento County. He has been an attorney for 23 years. In that time, he has successfully prosecuted sexual assault, gang, homicide cases and serial killers. He currently overseas the Justice and Community Relations Bureau which handles post-conviction litigation, training, community prosecution and media outreach. He has previously taught for CDAA on “Voir Dire in Sexual Assault and Homicide Cases,” P.O.S.T instruction and is currently an adjunct professor for trial advocacy at McGeorge School of Law. He is the former Vice President of NAPIPA’s Northern California Chapter. In 2017, he was presented with both the NAPIPA and Sacramento District Attorney’s Office Prosecutor of the Year Award. He also successfully prosecuted the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer, who committed 13 murders and over 50 sexual assaults in 11 different jurisdictions throughout California.

Jennifer Ow is an Assistant DA in Placer County. She has been a prosecutor for 25 years. She was born and raised in Hawaii and began her career at the Honolulu Prosecutor’s Office. In 1999, she relocated to California and joined the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office. Jennifer was assigned to the Sexual Assault unit before being promoted to Deputy in Charge of the Redwood City Branch. Jennifer and her family moved to Placer County in 2012. She worked at the Nevada County District Attorney’s office until 2016, when she was hired by the Placer County DA’s office. Jennifer was initially assigned to the Sexual Assault unit and was eventually promoted to the Supervisor in charge of the Misdemeanor Unit, a position she held until being selected as an Assistant District Attorney under District Attorney Morgan Gire.

Jency is an Assistant District Attorney with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. She is an alum of Santa Clara University and UC Hastings School of Law and started her career as a prosecutor as a DDA for the Contra Costa County DA’s Office. She has been with the SFDA since 2018 and is currently assigned to the General Felonies Unit. In her spare time, Jency enjoys the outdoors and Warriors basketball.

Deshawn Madha is serving in his ninth year as a Deputy District Attorney at the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office. Deshawn currently works in the Elder Abuse Unit, where he prosecutes serious physical and financial abuse against vulnerable populations, including elders and dependent adults. Deshawn earned his law degree from UC Hastings in San Francisco and is a proud alumnus of UC San Diego. In his spare time, Deshawn coaches High School Mock Trial.

Samuel Luzadas, Jr. is a Deputy District Attorney with the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office. Samuel graduated from Golden Gate University, School of Law in 2010 and began working with Stanislaus County in 2011. He previously served in the Domestic Violence Unit and is currently assigned to the Gang Unit. Samuel also previously taught Trial Advocacy at Golden Gate University.

HaNhi L. Tran is a Deputy District Attorney for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. As a community-based prosecutor, HaNhi focuses on crime prevention initiatives and serves as a liaison to the Vietnamese community. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard University and her Law Degree from UCLA. HaNhi joined the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office in 2012 where she has worked on numerous teams including the Family Violence Unit, Major Narcotics Vendor Prosecution Unit, and the Community Prosecution Unit. She is a member of the District Attorney’s Office Diversity Committee, the East San Jose PEACE Partnership Intimate Partner Violence Workgroup, and Santa Clara County’s multi-disciplinary Domestic Violence Death Review Team. HaNhi was awarded the George W. Kennedy Excellence in Prosecution Award in 2017 by the San Jose Police Department. She was also the recipient of AACI’s Gordon N. Chan Leadership Award in 2020 for her work on the “I Dare to Air” campaign to raise awareness about domestic violence in our immigrant communities. In addition to serving as a Board Member for the Northern California Chapter of NAPIPA, HaNhi is also actively involved with the Vietnamese-American Professional Women’s Association of Silicon Valley (VAPW) where she serves as Vice President and co-chairs the Mentorship Program supporting high school young women. She also serves as a mentor through the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California (VABANC).

Daniel Chung is a Deputy District Attorney in Santa Clara County specializing in violent felonies. Prior to working as a prosecutor in Silicon Valley, Daniel was an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, where he specialized in felony gun crimes. Daniel received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and his A.B. from Harvard College.

Abel started his career at the Stanislaus County District Attorney's Office in 2003 where he remained for approximately 8 years. In 2011, Abel joined the Santa Cruz County District Attorney's Office where he is currently the senior ADA in the Narcotics Unit and assigned to the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team (S.C.C.A.C.T.) In addition to his prosecutorial duties, he is an active instructor having taught courses on search warrants, confidential informants, and narcotics investigations to numerous prosecutors and law enforcement officers.

Edward Liang is currently a deputy district attorney at the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office in the Gang Unit. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007 with a B.A. in Economics. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2010. Mr. Liang has been with the office since 2012, where he has served in the South County office, the Family Violence Unit, the Central Misdemeanor Unit, the Narcotics Unit, the Major Vendor Narcotics Prosecution Unit, and the Violent Felonies Unit.
