On December 6, 2018 Nor Cal NAPIPA members got together to share some holiday cheer and collect toys for underpriviledged children in the San Jose Unified School District at the Farmers Union Restauarant and Bar, San Jose, CA.
On November 15, 2018 NAPIPA congratulated NAPIPA member Shin-Mee Chang on her promotion to Assistant District Attorney in the San Mateo County District Attorney's office. Around 40 NAPIPA members, members of the San Mateo County DA's office (including San Mateo District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe), defense attorneys, and judges joined together to celebrate Shin-Mee's well deserved promotion.

On September 21, 2018 NAPIPA held its 5th Annual Scholarship Banquet in Manhattan, New York.
Keynote Speaker former US Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara entertained and informed a packed house during his speech and Q&A session with the attendees.
United States Congresswoman Grace Meng impressed everyone with her inspirational story on how she overcame obstacles and became a member of the House of Representatives.

The National Asian Pacific Islander Prosecutor’s Association (NAPIPA) and the Sacramento County D.A.’s Office co-sponsored an event with APALSA during diversity week at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. In attendance were Sacramento Prosecutors Thien Ho (Vice President of the Northern California Chapter of NAPIPA), Nick Honda (NAPIPA Board Member), along with prosecutors from surrounding counties and Nirav Desai (Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of California). Topics discussed during the panel event included the day-in-the-life of a prosecutor, how to get hired and how to succeed as a prosecutor, along with an emphasis on the need for diversity within the profession. Around 50 law students came to the event.
